Truth




The thing to remember is that the Yankees have consistently been on or very near that top line for many years, and the organization brings in huge amounts of revenue in sales and residuals. George Steinbrenner figured out the formula a long time ago: Spend Mo Money = Win = Make Mo Money. It ain't rocket surgery.

Yes, but it doesn't work for the NFL. Washington threw a lot of money at free-agents for a couple of years in the late 'OOs and couldn't buy a winning season.
