Bit chilly in the forest

Moral crusaders in Kansas (is that redundant?) have whipped themselves up into a self-righteous froth over this statue in a state park:



The American Family Association of Kansas and Missouri said Monday it plans to start circulating petitions to empanel a grand jury to again investigate whether the sculpture at the Overland Park Arboretum violates state obscenity laws.

[Phillip] Cosby said he’ll now have the chance to not only explain the petition to the grand jury, but also to provide a list of experts who might be called to testify about the harm the statue might present, especially to children. “We have a solid case on the harms to minors,” Cosby said.

Ok, I'm all for looking at boobies, but please tell me what the point of the statue is in the first place. It appears the headless boobie statue is taking pictures or something. It reminds me of all the fine art in the Museum of Fine Arts here in Houston where something like 1 in 10 of the painting have at least a topless women in them. I think yesterdays porn is today's fine art. The hypocrisy and inconsistency in this world are amazing.

There is a bronze statue in the Vatican that one of the feet looks like polished brass and the tour guide told me it had been replaced three times from where it has been touched by so many people........Teenage boys, bronze boobies, Kansas better up their bronze boobie replacement budget is all I have to say
