The Religion of Peace
Several witnesses described seeing a "beheading" while another described seeing a man wearing a Help for Heroes T-shirt being attacked with a machete-style knife and dumped. The BBC reported sources had told them the men were shouting "Allahu Akbar" as they carried out the attack and had filmed carrying it out.
Read the whole story. These guys essentially jumped the curb in a car to hit the guy then jumped out and chopped him up with machetes. They then stood over the body and even waved an "illegal" gun around. Local police had to wait for SWAT since they do not carry guns. Lucky for people there these guys just killed the one, instead of many, many more.
This story tells me two things. We are at war with an ideology, but currently only one side is fighting it. Second. I am glad we live somewhere that a person has the right to defend himself (for now) with a gun, instead of just the bad guys and SWAT teams having the only guns.

This is what gun control gets you. Citizens stand and watch as two wanna-be Islamist thugs brutally murder a lone off-duty soldier. Nobody could do anything effective to help. Local police could do nothing until special police, as always too far away to be of immediate aid, arrived to handle the situation. (Watch for the individual officers to be disciplined for firing their weapons.)
This is the mentality the Progressives are trying to indoctrinate in us here. We're just sheep to be savaged at will by the wolves, unable and not permitted to protect ourselves. Only government can care for us and protect us from harm.
Civilization is going to Hell in a hand basket, and most all of us are either helping it along or silently watching it happen.
I find it amusing that the anti-gun leftists are the same people who so mistrust police and the military. Somehow, their tortured little minds have rationalized it so that the only people who should have guns (and therefore power over the populace) are criminals and the two groups of people whom they despise the most and trust the least. I'd love to hear a psychologist explain the perverted logic involved; I bet it'd be painful.
