Tensions

Seems there are some cracks appearing in the Red solidarity between the Chinese and the North Koreans. Turns out that Kim Jong Chubby is a proper little psychopath. It would appear that he drew the genetic bankruptcy card, getting all the worst traits of both his daddy and his grandpappy. Nullifying the 60 year-old treaty with South Korea was, I suspect, what finally woke up the Chink leadership and made them admit to themselves that their commie toy is beginning to spiral out of control under the "leadership" of a slanty-eyed Joffrey Baratheon.

Well, maybe some good will come of this mess. With China backing off, they're less likely to intervene if Rolly-Polly decides he wants to take his toys South for the summer. The situation is not a simple ideological yes/no as it was in 1950; the Chinese have a lot of chips in the game nowadays, and the majority of them are green -- as in U.S. dollar bill and U.S. Treasury Note green.

Frankly, a North Korea-initiated war may be the only way to finally bring down the totalitarian government in the North and reunite the peninsula. It wouldn't take much encouragement for the starving populace to revolt and decorate the bleak concrete walls of Pyongyang with the blood of their oppressors. Sometimes a war really is the quickest and best solution to a problem -- a fact which "progressives" and other bed-wetting types have never been able to comprehend.
