Mini-coup

The Roman Republic had a law which stated that the Legions (as organized armies) were not allowed to enter Rome proper. Julius Caesar found that law inconvenient for his ambitions, so he ignored it. It was not the last law he would ignore.

History has a way of repeating itself if we don't pay attention.
