Trek as sci-prophecy (again)

"You're going to have to kill him, Jim."

"Kill Spock? That's not what I came to Vulcan for, is it? What's that?"

I am aware, of course, that it wasn't actually a "tri-ox compound" on that particular occasion. It was Doctor McCoy's Superbly Efficacious Dead Kirk (But Not Really) Plot-Assisting Injectable Elixir (PatPend). So don't go all Trek-geeky and start throwing tribbles at me.
