An interesting little poll that purports to align you with a specific Presidential candidate, (former primary runners are included).
I mostly aligned with Gingrich, but I already knew that. He's just not electable, unfortunately, since he doesn't know when to shut his mouth. Ironically, that's one of the things I like about him.
Question number 9, by the way, had no correct answer listed. The correct solution for public schools is to return control of funding and spending to the individual districts and and keep the states' and the feds fingers out of it. Of course, no politician is going to give that as an option, since it robs them of their power over the system.
If you'll think back to the best and most memorable of your teachers and professors from high school and college, you'll notice that the ones who stand out were artists -- by which I mean they were people who created for you an interest in a particular subject through their enthusiasm and individualized presentations of the subject matter. They were not automatons held accountable to a rigid system, like line-workers in a factory. Artistic people shrivel and die under excessive regulation and regimentation -- and they are invariably replaced by bureaucrats and yes-men.
The only problem with public schools is that people have been trying to "fix" them for 40 years. Look at what that's given us.

The "system" isn't interested in producing educated, intelligent young adults (who just might question the "system"), but rather would prefer indoctrinated worker bees who vote Democrat, Liberal, Socialist, what-have-you, to keep the Administrators of the "system" in power and wealth. The individual teachers might think it's about the kids, but they are fooling themselves.
