Free Crack

I know for a fact that quite a few of you Apathetics were EverQuest addicts; in fact, Mad Builder is the one who got me hooked on it, all those years ago -- thirteen years, to be precise. And for its thirteenth birthday, the grandaddy of MMOs is going F2P in March.

To sweeten the pot, there are progression servers running -- meaning they start with original, plain ol' vanilla EverCrack and release the expansions on the original time schedule. So if RIFT and SWToR are failing to hold your interest (rapid-leveling "themeparks" both), you might try a little of the old school. At the price, it's worth a shot. Think I might even resurrect Wibli the Drunk Dorf -- er, I mean Warrior.

Hmm... So will everyone on these new servers be starting out fresh (i.e. no Uber Characters and their years of accumulated loot and rankings)?

Would certainly be willing to resurrect Castavellas if there is adventuring to be had.
