The Third Dimension

Hitachi has demonstrated a three-dimensional image projector. It's not a "true" hologram, in that it's actually an image projected in perspective onto a real object, (think of projecting the image of a Mercator map onto a sphere). There are demo images at the link -- albeit in two dimensions, obviously.

Hitachi believes that the projector could be used by design engineers, digital signature apps and perhaps as a training device in the manufacturing or medical arenas.


Yeah. That's the ticket. It's for "medical uses" -- right up until Pornowood turns it into a boom-chicka-boomboom machine.
