Robin Hood?
I find it interesting that the occupy Wall Street crowd is trying to invoke Robin Hood. In the story of Robin Hood, Robin and his merry men took from rich government officials who were overtaxing the producers. In other words, they took from those who didn't earn the money and gave it back to those who did. The occupy Wall Street group wants to take from those who earn the money and give to those who don't. So they are the bad guys in the story they reference.
heh
Go figure.

Ayn Rand criticized the Robin Hood story in Atlas Shrugged, but I think she missed this point too. The actions of Robin Hood are typically described as "robbing from the rich to give to the poor", but that interpretation ignores the fact that it was the tax collectors that were the real target.
Obama and his crony capitalism is about as close to Prince John as you can get. The problem at the moment is that the closest thing to Robin Hood and his merry men are a group of keystone candidates for the republican nomination. For some reason non of these people measure up to the image of King Richard as portrayed in the story.
Your logic is impeccable. Unfortunately, these Occupy drones are not even remotely interested in logic.
In their little bird-brains, there is a giant stack of money and everybody is entitled to a "fair share" of it. Those people on Wall Street and in downtown office buildings have more than their "fair share" of the pile, you see. So the hippie children show up and crap on the street and scream about how mistreated they are... while listening to their iPods, talking on their iPhones, browsing on their iPads, and driving in their hybrid cars. All those things were bought by their parents -- who have invested their life savings in stocks and banks so they can eventually retire, after working for The Man for 40 years while supporting their ingrate hippie spawn in grand style.
Oh, the irony! It burns, it BUUUURNS!
