Turn off That Dog!

South Korean scientists create glowing dog

A research team from Seoul National University (SNU) said the genetically modified female beagle, named Tegon and born in 2009, has been found to glow fluorescent green under ultraviolet light if given a doxycycline antibiotic, the report said.

The big thing behind it is to help in diagnosis of illness. Give you a pill, then put you under a light and viola! Illness or affected areas glow. What I see happening is people using it as a party favor, hey come glow with me! Why? because that is what we do, take some super cool technological breakthrough and make a commercial market for it.
