Darwin Loves...

...gravity:

A 19-year-old McDonald man died early today after he fell through a fourth-floor window in Oakland Wednesday while attending a concert with his father.

[At] least one witness claimed Mr. Kimutis appeared to have gotten into a three-point stance Wednesday night, "like a football player," yelled "Hike!" and then charged the window

Idiot: 0 Darwin: 1

Mr. Kimutis' Facebook page was recently deleted, but friends began to post Facebook messages this morning in remembrance of him, creating a group called "God's newest angel, Joe Kimutis."

Do you think he got wings with that? Those could prove useful for someone with such a poor appreciation of basic physics.

But wait! There's a conflicting account out there. Fanboy says that whole "football stance" thing is a bunch of hooey:

The fan wrote that Mr. Kimutis had walked toward a group of people, facing the window, when he began to lift his leg and cycle his arms like a runner.

"He took two deep breaths and then lunged toward the window...
Before I knew what was going on, he ran toward the glass --- blasted through it and landed on this sidewalk below. All of this about getting into a three-point stance and saying "hike" NEVER HAPPENED," the fan wrote.

That's good. We wouldn't want the deceased looking like an idiot, and pulling a Wile E. Coyote makes it appear that he was much more intelligent. I wonder if a dust ring puffed up when he hit?

Would you consider removing your story? I am friends with the boy's mother and she is going through unbelievable grief right now.
Please consider it. He was a good kid.
Thank you.

As a family member, I ask you please remove this post...as a firefighter and relative, I find your "insight" to be pitiful.

Answering for Jar, I will tell you a little about this blog. This Blog is about the unvarnished, unedited, no pretty bow tied around it, or names changed to protect the innocent, truth. We do not candy coat it, nor will we ever. Too many times the truth is bent to fit someone's ideal of what they really wanted or is omitted so that the "story" fits the narrative that group wants. The truth is ugly, it has no agenda, or political affiliation, or feelings. It is what it is. We will not censor it here.

Another thing this Blog is about is the fallacy of the human race. Wether that be a whimsical photo, a politician changing his story, Global warming, or sometimes someone hurting themselves or being killed by their careless acts. Can this hurt someone's feelings? Yes. Is this cruel, and callous? Maybe, but the world is a cruel and callous place. We try and protect ourselves and our family from such things, but the cruel world will always find a way to intrude on our lives. Sometimes with just a long wait at the DMV, and other times violently and tragically. We must learn to deal with these as they come and other people's reactions to those events. We cannot control how someone will react to an event, we can only control how "we" will react to it.

Finally, This is an opinion blog. Opinions are like Assholes, we all have one and they all stink from time time time. Jar is an Ass, but so am I, but I will not apologize for him nor for any of the postings or opinions on this blog. That is main reason this blog was created. To express opinion without constraints, or political correctness. Rail against us you must. We will take it in stride knowing the context in which it is given, but the post stays.

(I am the first "anonymous" to post. I don't know the second "anonymous")
I agree with the right to free speech, whether it is pleasant or not. I also agree that the blog does not have to be read. I do not agree. however, that a post that is so deroggatory is necessary to educate people about the atrocities of real life. The occurence of the incident itself is enough education.
I asked that you consider removing the post as a heartfelt gesture, out of concern for his mom. That's all...no hidden agenda.
Thanks for your time. God bless.

As a loyal reader I request that the post stay. Let others learn from Mr Kimutis and Mr Coyote's mistake. The knowledge that a pane of glass will not stop a grown man running at full speed may save somebody's life.
