The Walking Dead


The AMC Channel is about to launch a new series called The Walking Dead based on the long running comic of the same name about life and survival in the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse (Zombocalypse?). Pilot debuts on Oct 31st. The pilot is being produced and written by the director of Sahwshank Redemption and The Green Mile, and the comic series provides some good source material for them to work with. So I am optimisitic that this might be something to add to our regular DVR schedule.

Besides...post apocalyptic setting...and zombies.... I would have to check out the pilot just because of that!

I'll certainly give it a go, but I'll bet anyone silly enough to take it that they'll find a way to squeeze liberal idealism and left-wing propaganda into the series. Zombies in Porsches or some stupid shit.

Or maybe I'm just old and cynical.
