Oh, that wacky Mohammed—he's such a shy fella. So shy that, on his behalf, Pakistan has decided that Facebook and YouTube can no longer exist within its borders.

Once upon a time, there was a Danish newspaper that decided to publish cartoon images of the prophet, in defiance of Islamic religious prohibitions and other impediments to civilization. Mob riots, attempted assassinations, and fatwas enjoining the same ensued, and cowardly news media outlets tried to cover the, um, events without spreading the dreaded caricatures under their own names. Some folks who dared not to care about religious fanatics set up a Facebook campaign in response, dubbed "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!" The Pakistani government promptly took enough offense to ban Facebook altogether, in case its fragile citizens got a glimpse of the prophet's beard. When people began migrating the campaign to other Web sites such as YouTube, Islamabad expanded its ban to no fewer than 450 Web sites, according to Bloomberg.

Bloody barbarians. They're only one step removed from animists idolizing the Sun.

Meanwhile, India also banned the page -- prompting Facebook to pull it altogether. Way to stand up to them, Facebook! Fucking cowards. Letting illiterate, superstitious, brain-dead religious nutballs dictate your business plan shows all the moral courage of a tort lawyer. Nut up, you pansies.

Besides, who gives a crap if a bunch of Muslims get their panties in a wad? They'll just riot and start killing each other, like they always do. And that increases property values.
