Blasphemy

It is becoming increasingly obvious to me that we're going to have to nuke Hollywood:

Jeff Bridges is in discussions with Paramount to star in Joel and Ethan Coen's redo of "True Grit." Bridges would play the role that won John Wayne an Oscar for the 1969 original.

If there's not a law against remaking John Wayne movies, there fucking well should be -- and threatening to remake The Duke's pièce de résistance should automatically incur the death penalty. I thought Jeff Bridges had better sense.
