Nostalgia
Digital artist Dave Dries brings up some nostalgia with his rendered movie Arcade'84. Click the pic for his page. The movie is at the bottom of the page.
I've wandered into the "Tilt" arcade in Memorial City Mall recently. There was a "Tilt" in our hometown mall in Pasadena back in the day that ate many many of my quarters....it's just not the same.

That picture is almost spot on. I was ready to rock it on some Tempest after seeing that.
Talk about Nostalgia, "Tempest"
I never really "played" tempest, I just spun the control alot. :) Someone told me they've got the ROMs to run Tempest on MAME. I couldn't imagine trying to play that game with a keyboard!
Phoenix, Satan's Hollow and Gauntlet, those were my games.
