CCTV

This is a picture of the new China Central Television headquarters building in Beijing:


Architects sit around smoking dope while dreaming up bizarre contraptions like this and pat themselves on the back for their "vision." Then structural engineers, mechanical designers and contractors have to try to get such disasters-in-the-making to work in the real world. And architects wonder why nobody (in the construction world, at least) likes them.

You failed to mention the 10% fee from the cost of construction for that smoke fest idea. And to follow up on your rant, 9 times out of 10 it is not worth the rolling paper it is scribbled on just like the Architect Diploma from that Aggie University which they attended.
