Czech prez calls out Gore
The president of Czechoslovakia has compared the new environmental movement to old soviet communism.
He has also called Gore to debate him on the subject. Shockingly, Gore has so far refused.
The president of Czechoslovakia has compared the new environmental movement to old soviet communism.
Klaus, an economist, said he opposed the "climate alarmism" perpetuated by environmentalism trying to impose their ideals, comparing it to the decades of communist rule he experienced growing up in Soviet-dominated Czechoslovakia.
"Like their (communist) predecessors, they will be certain that they have the right to sacrifice man and his freedom to make their idea reality," he said.
"In the past, it was in the name of the Marxists or of the proletariat - this time, in the name of the planet," he added.
He has also called Gore to debate him on the subject. Shockingly, Gore has so far refused.

All Gore wants is people with cameras who will nod their heads and say "Yes Al, that does sound serious." And there are enough people who will watch that kind of thing without questioning it at all. Considering its all just a con why would he even think of debating someone on it.
Leftists, Marxist, dictators, greenies... they're all the same under the skin.
Oh, and Czechoslovakia doesn't exist any more. Czechoslovakia was a forced merging of two nations by the Soviets. It's the Czech Republic, now. Lovely country, too. Deployed there in summer of '95 with my LRRP company for a dog-and-pony show to pull them into NATO.
Thanks for the update. Czechoslovakia is too freakin hard to spell anyway.
