Blue SKYYs over the U.S.
SKYY® Vodka, Proudly Supports Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
A nice and amusing response to Absolut vodka's Mexican ad campaign (see earlier post from Fundy here) from one of their competitors.
“Like SKYY Vodka, the residents of states like California, Texas and Arizona are exceptionally proud of the fact that they are from the United States of America,” said Dave Karraker, SKYY Vodka. “To imply that they might be interested in changing their mailing addresses, as our competitor seems to be suggesting in their advertising, is a bit presumptuous.”
In the ad, an “Absolut World” is depicted where the map of North America is re-drawn with Mexico claiming much of the Western United States, negating the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, as well as the Gadsden Purchase (1853), and the independence of Texas (1836).

I just called Dave Karraker to inform him that I appreciate his companies response to the Absolut screwed up marketing scheme. Also stated I would buy a couple of bottles of his product to show further support.
Shut your pie hole Jar(egg)head......Think of it as buying American!
Neither me nor my piehole have an issue with it. My only use for vodka is making vodka martinis, but I'll buy a bottle.
I thank you and your pie hole for the support.
Currently having a headache from doing my patriotic duty.
Sometimes that is the price to pay as a patriot. Also, a Bloody Mary should help with that hangover.
