Shrinking Vistas

It would appear that Microsoft's attempt to shove Vista up the collective ass of its current users by threatening to shut down all XP support four months from now is backfiring:

Microsoft may have pushed a too-aggressive transition schedule because of how long it took to release Vista, a delay that deprived it of new earnings. "Microsoft is up against a rock, with Vista coming out seven years after XP's release. But it's their fault it took seven years, not my fault," he said, adding that users should not be forced to rush their transition because of Microsoft's internal delays.

Yup. And if they push me towards it, my next computer may very well be a Mac. I'm thoroughly fed up with Mickey$oft and their monopolistic attempts to control the entire world's software market.

I grew up with Apple computers, learned to program and game on them, and still have fond memories of using an Apple II, (a pristine example of which is still in a box in my attic). Perhaps it's time to return whence I came. At this point, it appears the only thing I'll be giving up is the arrogance of Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. And good riddance to bad rubbish.

I believe that it should be mandatory that all computer companies (harware/software..etc..) should have to support their previously released version for a minimum of 5 years after the release of the next generation. I am tired of planned obsolensance in the computer industry. God Damn COmmunists!

Mac's are pretty sharp these days with then new Unix based OS. I've definitely thought about getting a new Mac.

Cool little demo called Anatomy of a Mac HERE
