Retiring
Time for me to quit.
This little project has been fun for the last three years (and three days), but it's starting to wear on me. Just read the comments a few postings below and you'll see what I mean. I'll let Davis and Churt take over the majority of the posting here. I may occasionally pop in if something really gets my dander up, but that's what I'm trying to avoid, quite frankly. I just deleted every link to news sites in my browser -- and I had a bunch of 'em, believe me.
Y'all have fun, and don't chew on Davis too hard; he's fresh out of HTML school. =o)

Scotch and Bourbon. Hell, he'll probably do a post for each beer you buy him. Proper motivation and all you understand. The posts may become incoherent after a few but that just adds to the fun.
I would like to see him put some of his artistic talents to work and start doing a comic for the blog. A marine corps comic or something like that maybe. Or, he could do a comic about his place of employment. I understand there is enough material to keep that going for some time if he starts from when he first started working there. I'll buy the first beer to get him started. Anyone willing to buy the second?
I think if we just chipped in and got him a taser gun and pointed him towards a Starbucks he would be happy and come back.
Jarheads blog is something I enjoy reading everyday, it helps break the monotony of my fabulous job where I seem to either be working for weak and poor leaders, or sleezy poor integrity leaders that seem to envision themselves as great and wise leaders, but lack both the integrity and trust in others to effectively lead a Navy Seal team against a boy scout camp. I would like to see Jarhead keep posting, although I have wondered how he had time to find all the news items, so less involvement is probably not a bad thing.
I've a better idea, Fundy... you've just been drafted. Your invitation to blog here is in the e-mail.
That'll teach you to keep your pie-hole shut, ya stupid jarhead. =oP
As one who back in the day poked and prodded to get him to turn his daily email writtings into a blog, Please SAY IT ISN"T sO!!!!!!!!!!!!
