President Thompson?

Here's the best political news I've heard in a long while: Fred Thompson, the former Senator from Tennessee, is considering a run for the Presidency. He was one of the very few class acts when he was a serving Senator. I'd certainly vote for him over Guiliani, McCain, or any of the rest of that motley crew which the GOP has so far kicked out onto the field.

Yes, Thompson's an actor. So was Ronald Reagan.

Definitely an improvement over the current crop of contenders. McCain is a total nutjob, Rudy and Romney are really just Democrats in disguise. I kind of like Duncan Hunter, but he's a total unknown with little chance at a national race. Thompson has always seemed to have his head screwed on straight and doesn't let politics interfere with doing the right thing.

Yes.... The man is a no bullshit get-r-done guy. Too bad that does not fit into the hollywoodish profile people need to win the presidency now days. (Not to mention the get-a-free-check-from-the-goverment people will never vote for him)
