BB Brains

Some administrators at Klein ISD actually displayed some sense:

The incident happened early yesterday morning at Krahn Elementary before school started. Officials say the student was caught with what they call a toy BB gun, capable of firing plastic pellets. School administrators confiscated the toy gun so no threat was determined and no letter mailed out.

Klein ISD does have a policy regarding weapons at school. A weapon is defined as anything that shoots a projectile through an explosion. They say that was not this case with the toy gun.

Naturally, some denizens of the whiny, dripping snotball of litigation formerly known as the United States of America are upset by such a display of common sense and restraint:

Parents say that doesn't matter. The mere threat and trauma to other kids should have been reason enough to let parents know.

"To me that was wrong," said concerned parent Tina Requenez. "We were left all night long wondering what happened. Will this student be here tomorrow? Is he going to come back and be mad at whoever turned him in?"

Trauma? Your kids get beat up a lot, don't they Ms. Requenez? If not, they certainly need to be. Perhaps it'll help them grow a spine, as it's obvious they didn't inherit one from you.
