Shut It

The wailing and the gnashing of the teeth--but mainly the wailing:

A children's Christmas choir was left in tears after shopping centre security guards told them to shut up.

The 23 children - aged three to five - were ordered to stop singing carols because they were too noisy.

Before you start Grinch-i-fying the security guards, consider that most children between the ages of three and five can barely form coherent sentences. How well do you think they can sing? Do you want to hear two dozen screeching toddlers while you're trying to finish up your Christmas shopping?

Exactly.

Certainly their mothers think they're adorable, but the rest of us are somewhat more objective.
