A Turtle Named Mary

Little Catholic tart gets around, doesn't she?

A Chicago woman claims the image of the Virgin Mary has appeared on the stomach of a pet turtle.

"I thought we were going crazy the first time I saw it. I looked at it and said, 'It can't be.' But then I looked again. I mean, you can't deny it."

That you're crazy? I wouldn't dream of denying it.

"She came to a holy house. I think she came to visit us so God knows she's happy and safe."

Pretentious: adj. - Claiming or demanding a position of distinction or merit, especially when unjustified. Making or marked by an extravagant outward show; ostentatious.
