Entitlement

Here's a prime example of why Louisiana is still the equivalent of a third world country. All the children who were taken into the Houston schools free of charge and taxation are whining because they don't get the day off to go debauch themselves at Mardi Gras:

"I ain't seen my home since the hurricane, and this is a day to have fun," said Christina Milton, 15...

That's just too easy; taking down idiots is no fun if they never even see you coming.

Moving on:

"It's like my religion. I've been doing it all my life," high school senior [Anjoneka West] said.

Her whole life, mind you! All seventeen years of it. Nice to see she has her priorities lined up; I'm sure she'll be a very accomplished welfare queen.

(Hat-tip to Harry S.)

Two of my students have basically taken the week off with parental permission to go to Mardi Gras. Mind you that they already have next week off, and they are not stellar students in the first place. They will have difficulty making the work up.

If you are gone to make a comment about somebody life you get to know them first.Ask them some things.like what is your plans in life? and where you see yourself in five years.Don't put me in the same box with other kids from here.Yes I'm in school and in five years i will be a teacher.I still need to have fun every now &then.

P.S.I'M NOT ON WELFARE
