Robotic Garage


At first glance, I just assumed this was a really good Photoshop job. But the more I looked at it, the more real it appeared to be. My curiosity piqued, I did a little digging and discovered that robotic garages are quite real--and are becoming more popular in crowded urban areas. There have now been three of them built in the United States, and they are much more popular in Japan, (for obvious reasons).

There are several different types, employing varying modes of operation. Here is a photograph of a vertical tunnel type, and you can see a video of a vertical carousel type here.

You sir are on the cutting edge. Well the cutting edge of sharing new technological advances. I had not seen anything such as this, in my blueprints yes but never a completed prototype. Dammit Jim I didn't file for a patent.

Cool technology, but in current form I don't think they would work in Texas to well.

Reason: A 1 ton crew cab dually wouldn't fit very well...
