Greed

The UAW received a little foretaste last week of the soon-to-be-endemic consequences of fifty years of greed and corruption.

Delphi, forced into bankruptcy by decades of exorbitantly high rates for hourly workers, is threatening to cut wages by 60% and lay off thousands of people. The UAW is about to shit a kitten, as some of the more perceptive union bureaucrats see their fat necks being stretched towards the chopping block.

This is what happens when a union stops representing fair wages for its workers and instead tries to kill the Golden Goose with uncontrolled greed. Pay attention AFL-CIO; you're next.
