Shrimp Burger

Would you like some cocktail sauce with that burger, sir?

Struggling to lure customers back amid increased competition, McDonald's is adding a new item to its menu in Japan: the shrimp burger.

The hamburger chain...has tried everything from tofu burgers to advertising blitzes to coax diners back after the company posted a loss in 2002 amid the mad cow scare.

Why should anyone stop eating at McDonalds because of the mad cow hysteria? It's not like they use beef in anything they serve.

That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Just the picture of the processed deep fried pseudo shrimp patty made me dry heave.

I wasn't quite pushed over into dry heave territory, but I understand the sentiment nonetheless. It's pretty unappealling, any way you...uh, slice it.

My fiance has a fetish for McDonald's McRib sandwiches. I tried one, but was left unimpressed by the experience. She just says it's more for her, which is fine by me. But I don't think we'll be bringing any shrimp burgers to the casa.
