Apple Bites Snakes
Earlier today, Steve Jobs got behind the mic in Paris to accuse the RIAA of price-fixing and overweening greed.
While I agree with him completely about the RIAA, I have to chuckle a bit; the CEO of Apple "We'll-Drive-Ourselves-Out-Of-Business-Yet" Computer Company accusing anyone of such a thing is most certainly a case of pot-and-kettle syndrome.
A little over two decades ago, Apple Computer completely dominated the home computer market, but their neurotic and compulsive insistence on proprietary hardware standards killed the Golden Goose. It's still the only thing keeping them down today, yet they refuse to let go of it. Like old hippies, they just can't stop living in the past.
