Moovie

Believe it or not, this is a car:

The wheels are giant hollow rims that rotate around the doors, (the big round things on the side). The doors themselves rotate out and forward, making for a near zero-clearance operating requirement. Two spheres, similar to furniture casters, support the car in the front. Steering is by differential traction of the rear wheels.

Clicking the pic will take you to the Peugot website, where you can view more photos of the vehicle. Please note that: 1) Peugot's server is slower than a French army headed to the front lines. 2) It's in French; click the second tab from the left to load the pictures of the "car."

I wonder if a special tool will be required in order to pick these little "cars" out of the grillwork and tire treads of the large trucks on the road. :)

I had a label maker that looked very similar. Also resembles a scotch tape dispenser. I know, a budget rent a shuttlecraft on Star Trek TNG. It's what Picard would have been the captain of after the way he handled first contact with the Borg.

For those who don't understand the Borg encounter reference it went something like this. "Wow, and alien ship. Holy crap it's hostile. We blew a big whole in their ship, now lets run so they can repair and come after us instead of finishing them off." Sorry for the short Star Trek rant but I can’t pass up a chance to blast that poorly written episode.

Later,
