Cellular Zombies
Stephen King and John Grisham are selling characters in their new books. The proceeds will be used as a charitable donation to the First Amendment Project, a non-profit legal foundation for freedom of speech cases. That's good, but ah...
Oh, dear. I thought King had scraped the bottom of the barrel with Maximum Overdrive. Looks like he's broken through the bottom and begun to dig.
King said he was offering the chance to name a character in a novel called "CELL," to be published in 2006 or 2007.
"Buyer should be aware that 'CELL' is a violent piece of work, which comes complete with zombies set in motion by bad cell phone signals that destroy the human brain," King said.

Looks like I'll be watching another zombie movie eventually! *shakes my head chuckling as I recall Mad Builder's evil glee in watching rotting corpses rampage through suburbia*
Hmmm...that reminds me...I need to make time to see George R. Romero's latest Zombie flick sometime.
BTW...for serious fans of the genre, check out Shawn of the Dead. It is a great laugh, especially if you like dry Brit humor and grew up on the likes of Dawn of the Dead.
