Actroid Redux
Here is another video, this time in English, of that android prototype I posted about a while back.
It's still creepy. Maybe I'm just getting old and my technophilia is fading in intensity, but I really don't believe that my reaction is uncommon at all. Watching the damned thing move gives me a case of the screamin' willies.

Ok sure, we know about the cool SF angle on androids and artificial intelligence and such. We think of Cmd Data from Start Trek, or labor saving "droids" that help save humans from dangerous or tedious tasks such as being a WalMart greeter.
But...we KNOW where the Japanese are going to go with this technology, right?

I think I was emotionally scarred by viewing those images, Builder.
Yup. You just thought watching that android clip gave you the willies before...go back and watch it again now that these newly formed neural paths are in place. :)
You attract some odd followers Jarhead (speaking of Builder). Makes me wonder just what sites he is perusing to find those uses for androids. *wonders if she should change her name* ;)
