Morning, Sam...

Somersaulting sheep:

Amber Bolton of Corvallis was on her way to the co-op at noon when she saw the sheep fall out of the truck.

"The truck was really full," she said. "Obviously nothing was holding them back anymore... they tumbled and somersaulted out of the truck."

A quick thinking co-op manager, Tamra Wiggins-Wahlert, managed to contain five sheep after they ran into the First Alternative parking lot and headed for the automatic doors.

"I got to the door just in time to say ‘No sheep in the store!'" she said.

Whew! That was a close one! Thank goodness for quick "thinking," huh?

The sheep stood huddled and shaking by a wall as policemen stood guard.

"Hopefully they don't all rush me at once," said Corvallis police officer Luther MacLean.

Rather sheepish for a police officer, isn't he?
