Still Awaiting My Grant

In a shocking study result, researchers for the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) have determined that:

Keeping a gun locked, unloaded, and storing ammunition in a locked and separate location can lower the risk of unintentional injuries and suicide among youth...

Stunning, I say! The keen insight! The blinding intellect! Great Cham's Beard, but I feel inferior! What would we do, down here amongst the little people, were we not granted the privilege of basking in the warm glow of such received wisdom?

In an even more surprising turn of events, their study revealed that the suicide rate did not decrease when the same measures were employed among adult gun owners, (that would be the people who have the key to the gun safe).

Well, I'm just flabbergasted. I mean... could you even have imagined?
