Cop Blind
Something about this really bothers me, but I can't quite put my finger on what it might be. It's almost as if they're encouraging vigilantism, something police are usually quick to accuse people of when they try to solve their own problems.
Not to mention the fact that it's a potentially huge legal liability for the city government. Maybe it's just my distrust of law enforcement's motivations, but I don't like it. I'm a firm believer that the police have to be watched just as carefully as the criminals, or they'll soon be trying to run the show. If you're a cop and don't like that view, then I'm sorry, but it's been proven true time and again throughout human history. So whenever I see policemen (or any authority figures) getting up to something unusual, my antennae stand straight up on end. It may turn out to be perfectly harmless, and it may even work, but my gut tells me something is not right here.
