Prehistoric Thug Ball

Archaeologists discover Aztec ball court in the heart of Mexico City

I remember watching a History Channel special on the Aztecs and the show discussed this game, which was sort of like basketball. The main difference is that the losers were ceremonially executed after the game. If the NBA and NCAA would adopt this rule, I'd actually watch. Of course, it wouldn't be long before the game went extinct, one way or another.

Clever plan, I think.
