Nuked

The Department of Defense and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory have released hundreds of previously classified nuclear test films from the 50s and 60s. Of particular interest are those of near-earth airburst detonations, the preferred method of delivery for thermonuclear devices on urban targets in order to cause the maximum possible level of destruction. Here's one from Operation Teapot in 1955. It's... well, terrifying is the only word I can come up with. You can see why they wouldn't have wanted this footage getting out at the time.
