WTF

Marine Corps to remove 'man' from 19 job titles

/sigh

As Mark Steyn recently stated, "when reality and delusion duke it out, bet on reality every time." The reality: women are incapable of meeting the physical and emotional demands of soldiering.

I'm not talking about fighting, I'm talking about SOLDIERING. Anyone who has been there knows the difference and knows exactly why the above statement is true. I've seen it first-hand. But go ahead and get good men killed with your stupid little political games. I'm only glad I've no children serving in the Corps and all my friends have long since retired. Stupid twats.

As with everything, there is always outliers. (We had a female that worked in our motor pool who I personally saw throw a 5 ton tire on the rim, into the back of a truck) So yes, there is one or two Females out there, somewhere in this great expanse of a nation that could do the job of a combat Marine. One or two. But that is not who they are looking for, well, it probably is, but when she doesn't show up, the political pressure will be to "pass" someone. Standards will be fudged to meet the PC of the day and before you know it, you will have 5'5, 90 lb woman in combat infantry.

Don't think this is a knock on women in the military, far from it. I have seen many MEN that do not need to be in direct combat positions. There is nothing wrong with serving in the military in a combat support role. Yes even combat support could potentially see some bullets fly their way, but to put people who are unfit in a role where they are expected to locate, engage and destroy the enemy is silly and dangerous

Just a short list of very obvious problems: How males respond when women are injured (hint: not rationally); sexual desires and entanglements in co-ed units and the emotional conflicts such will inevitably create; rivalry between young males for the attention of a female, thereby disrupting unit cohesion; hygiene issues. These are all problems which an infantryMAN does not need to deal with when people are trying to kill him.

Women in line units -- ANY WOMEN -- is a monumentally stupid idea. It has always been a stupid idea and it will always be a stupid idea. Reality, unlike Democrats and Leftists, does not bend to the wishes and whims of Hollywood. Reality just is, and it doesn't forgive stupidity.

Combat is not a video game or a legislative theory or a classroom exercise. Combat is for all the marbles. If you lose in combat, YOU DIE. You can't sue anyone when you're dead.
