Overlord Development Continues Apace
Several minutes of the Atlas robot, designed by Boston Dynamics, walking independently and dealing with complex environmental interaction.
Perhaps I'm just being an old geezer, but as I'm watching this thing I find that I've a strong urge to pick up the nearest heavy object and smash it into scrap. It's one thing to watch a movie about robots. After all, I know that C3PO, Roy Batty, et al, are really just humans pretending to be robots. My subconscious mind responds accordingly. But when I look at this thing, this machine pretending to be a man, there's something inside of me whispering that it is unnatural and therefore a potential threat.
I'm sure future generations will get past that purely animal reaction to autonomous anthropomorphic robots. I'm less than sure, however, that they should.

All I could think about was why are they trying to piss it off with the stick!
I have to agree that it needs to be disintegrated. The creepy factor is very high with this thing.....
