Same Old Story
Business as usual at the VA:
Here's your problem: "a licensed social worker..." A social worker is someone with six years of advanced schooling who isn't qualified to get a job flipping hamburgers.
Again, those of us familiar with the VA know this isn't anything new. VA hospitals and help centers have been staffed by the dregs of American society pretty much since the Administration's inception. It's just another big government boondoggle. If the Feds were really interested in helping vets, they'd just pay for services in private hospitals. But that's not what the VA is about; it's about giving fat-ass civil "servants" like Robin Paul a desk and a ridiculously large salary and a pension, then signing them up for a public employee's union so they'll vote for Democrats.
If my choice is a VA hospital or a witch doctor, I'll take my chances with Dr BoneInNose, thank you.
A manager at the Roudebush Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Indianapolis appears to mock the mental health problems of returning combat veterans in an email to her employees.
The email obtained by The Indianapolis Star contains photographs of a toy Christmas elf posing as a patient in what appears to be the hospital's transitional clinic for returning veterans. In one photograph, the elf pleads for Xanax. In another, he hangs himself with an electrical cord.
The woman who sent the email is Robin Paul, a licensed social worker who manages the hospital's Seamless Transition Integrated Care Clinic. The clinic provides returning veterans with transition assistance, including mental health and readjustment services.

An estimated 22 veterans commit suicide in the United States every day
Could this be due to the fact that the man in charge holds them in contempt? Could it be that support for their efforts has wained and the policies of the past six years have made all their sacrifice for nothing? Could it be that many coming home do have issues adjusting back to regular life, as was gown in the movie "American Sniper". There are many things that affect the psyche of our military men and women. Seeing friends die in front of you is a big one. Politicians using you as a pawn to further their own agenda doesn't help either. Nor does the people providing you care mocking you help.
Now, are their shitbags who use the VA to get money and not have to work the rest of their lives? Sure. I had an appointment for a hearing test (six years in Artillery kinda affected it. Who knew standing 5 feet away from a big explosion for six years could cause hearing loss) While in the waiting area, one guy was in there because they were reviewing his compensation. He was on full disability because he claimed that the air on a naval ship caused him to lose his sense of smell. Yea.
But for the ones who have been injured and seen real combat, these effects are very real and personal. having the person in charge of their treatment mocking them and then to still be working there and in charge of that clinic? Gotta love the Government.
I rather like the smell of warships. Steel, fuel, greasy food and the occasional whiff of cordite during firing exercises. Very manly.
