Changing the Rules

The Leftist Rulebook: If you can't win the battle under the current rules, just change the rules:

Attorney General Eric Holder told Politico that between now and his departure, probably in early March when the Senate is expected to confirm Loretta Lynch as his successor, he will call for a lower standard of proof for civil rights crimes. Such a change would make it easier for the federal government to bring charges in the case of a future Ferguson or Trayvon Martin.

“I think some serious consideration needs to be given to the standard of proof that has to be met before federal involvement is appropriate, and that’s something that I am going to be talking about before I leave office,” Holder, 64, said.

Yeah, that's a great idea. Let's enshrine a standard for political show trials into federal law. No way that could ever be abused...

Eric Holder is a criminal of the worst sort: a political appointee. It will take decades to repair the damage he and Obama's other creatures have done to this country, if it even can be repaired. It now appears they're determined to burn the house down from pure spite on their way out.

I completely agree with that statement. However, I have serious doubts about the ability of anyone in this administration to engage in "serious consideration" of any issue. Given their track record, I doubt anyone is expecting them to RAISE the standard.

Lawyers making more laws to make more lawyers rich. It is the Democrat way.
