Enthusiasms

Say what?

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said Monday: “If you know somebody that is acting with a lot of hatred towards any particular group- especially if it’s somebody you know is a gun enthusiast or is armed with these type of firearms and they’re showing any kind of propensity for hatred- it doesn’t mean we’re going to take them to jail, but we might want to vet these people.”

For those you who are not living in the Once and Future Republic of Texas, Austin isn't considered a part of it by the rest of us -- i.e., those of us who live in the parts of the state which generate revenue instead of absorbing it. Austin is basically a concentration camp for hipsters, leftoids, politicians, and other vestigial elements of pre-sentience. We like to keep them in one place so they're easier to track. You're more likely to find gay porn enthusiasts in Austin than gun enthusiasts.

A we say here in the hipster city, "The best part about living in Austin is its only a 15 minute drive to Texas!"
