ICANN has rolled out the first of 1,400 new Top Level Domains for the DNS. One of the "features" is that many of them are non-Latin in nature. Here's a few of them:

I realize we need new domains at some point, just like you eventually need new area codes. But let's stick with the lingua franca, shall we? Because if I see any of those domains in a link -- either native or transliterated -- I won't be clicking, thanks. I can't read Cyrillic or Chinese or Arabic, and ngbc5azd or somesuch means nothing to me. For all I know, clicking such a link could give my computer a severe case of Russian Chinese Bird Camel Flu.
