Ancient Skeeter

That's not an image from Jurassic Park, it's the real deal: a perfectly preserved 46 million-year old mosquito with a bellyful of blood. Alas, the half-life of DNA is about 521 years, so it's unlikely we'll be cloning anything. And anyway, it's from the middle of the Eocene, when the only creatures running around were a bunch of very boring early mammals. No giant leez-ards at all. Yawn.

Piclick for article.
