Fuck Syria
It was bad enough when the Left was calling for intervention in Syria. Now the Right is saying it too. Have you people all taken leave of your senses?
Civil war. CIVIL war. THEIR civil war, not ours.
Where are all these hawks coming from, anyway? Have you idiots learned nothing from our fifty-year experiment in the dubious practice of nation building? Here, let me help you understand: IT. DOES. NOT. WORK. It will never work, because you can't give somebody something they aren't willing to obtain for themselves.
Did Obama make a mistake with his "red line" ultimatum? Of course he did! For God's sake, everything the man has ever done in the foreign policy arena has been one long, continuous mistake. It's not a big surprise. Are you hard Right hawks seriously telling me that yet another ill-considered comment from a President who has a chronic case of diarrhea of the mouth is reason to land troops in a place in which we have no compelling interest and which is still a de facto satellite of the Russians and Chinese? Are you stupid?!
Yes, people are being killed there, sometimes in horrible ways (like there's a good way to be killed). Civilian people. Child-type civilian people. Welcome to reality, Nancies. People are murdered all over the world every minute of every day, sometimes in large batches. And sometimes they're children. Does that mean we should start sending in the Marines every time yet another tin plated pseudo-nation gets into an internal war of succession? If you said "yes" to that question, I have to seriously question your grip on reality.
We are not the cops of the world. We are and should always be friends to democracies, both new and old. But we should not be peddlers of it, and never high priests.
Obama is the negative image of King Midas, especially in the foreign policy arena. His Secretary of State is an egotistical blue-blood and his Vice President a congenital idiot. If he wants to do nothing then we should do everything in our power to encourage him along that path, not start beating the drums and stirring up the dogs.
Stop it.
By all appearances, the executive branch has no interest in fighting the Syrian civil war, instead offering verbal condemnations and finger-wagging while not joining the fight. Even the promise of weapons to America-friendly Syrian rebel groups appears uncertain, as the weapons have yet to show up.

Friends of democracies everywhere, guardians only of our own.
But this is no big surprise. We're being dragged ever closer to the one-world utopian government espoused by Liberals and socialists everywhere, especially within our own government. The new world order. Of course, it will never work, humans being what they are, and will plunge us yet again headlong into a Dark Age, not of religion, but of entitlement bankruptcy.
So, America's role is that of beat cop. Who knew?
