Can't see the forest...

...for the receipts

CVS has gone coupon crazy, and apparently some of the receipts are getting quite long. They are not the only ones. I don't know how many times I go into a store now to buy one or two items and I am handed War and Peace in receipts. Most of the time I just take it and throw it away in the garbage can outside the store, but now, I will rip off the actual receipt and just leave all the other crap for the cashier to deal with.

I like the "hand it back to the cashier" thing. Not that it's really their fault; they're just worker bees like me. Still, maybe you can commiserate with them.

Just get the environuts on the scent if you really want to stop it. Making a stink over stuff like this is what they live for. Of course, it will probably be replaced by something worse, something dreamed up by an overpaid, underworked marketing exec in a NYC highrise who has an illiterate housekeeper to do all his shopping for him...
