Decisions...

Community input requested. I’m trying to decide which of these cowlings I like better for my shiny new retro-chic CB1100. The Comet fairing has more of an early 80s feel -- very much like a Nighthawk, in my eyes. It definitely “fits the lines” better with the color matching. However, the aluminum Bikini has a very definite 70s café racer, Mad Max-like “scooter trash” feel to it, (that’s a good thing, in case you were wondering). It reminds me a lot of the shop-made fairings created by race teams in the early days of GP motorcycle racing, before anyone had even heard of a superbike.

I'm leaning toward the latter one at this point, but I'm not yet committed.

My bike has the silver side covers, by the way, not the red ones. Only the tank is red on my bike. Click each pic for more images.

Opinions?

Not sure of the functionality aside from keeping bugs off the instruments, but I do like the bikini better.....
