Thursday Tunes

One of the things I like about the Black Crowes is the fact that they look like they're right out of 1970. It's like a young Ian Anderson, Carlos Santana, and the conscious members of Zepp got into a time machine and warped into the 21st century. Below is their 2005 live performance of She Talks to Angels, recorded at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The other thing I like about the Crowes? They sound even better live than in the studio. In this particular performance, they consciously imitated a gospel, blues-y style. If you like the song already, I daresay you'll love this version.

Seeing how the 'Crows sound like crap recorded, I imagine "better live" to be just a polished turd. Personnaly, I'd prefer to put them on the same bus as the lawyers when we drive it over the cliff.
