Wryng Spyllyng

I was just listening to Pandora and decided I wanted to hear a little Chopin. So when I did a search, this is what I got: Fryderyk Chopin. Do you how that's pronounced? No? Here, I'll help you out: pre-tent-shush doosh-bag.

While that is the correct spelling of his first name in Polish, I'm not Polish. I'm American, listening to the American version of Pandora, which means I speak (and read) English. His name is pronounced "Frederic." That's why, in English, it's rendered as Frederic.

It's like the morons who insist on spelling Moscow with bastardized Cyrillic characters as "Mockba." No, that's wrong. BAD HIPPIE. That spells "mock-bah" in English, not "mosk-va," as Russians pronounce the name of their capital.

So what's the point of this rant? Nothing, really. Except maybe this: don't be a pretentious douchebag.
